The Blastball, T-Ball and 3 Pitch Programs
Registration for 2018 is now open
Updated Wednesday November 15, 2017 by Stanley Park Baseball.
2018 Season: April 28 - June 23
2 games per week: various days as per player availability.
Games played Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are all 6:30 p.m. starts. Any games scheduled for Saturdays are morning games with 9:00 a.m. start times.
We run five leagues with overlap based on player age. Please click on the appropriate league for direct access to more information on that league.
In 2017, in conjunction with the City of Kitchener and a grant from the Kitchener Sports Association, we added two additional play areas (for Junior T-Ball) to the Franklin Park site and another one at Midland Park. These additions are entirely grass, i.e. no dirt infields, and facilitate our scheduling for families with multiple players in our program's various leagues.
Blastball - for children with birthdates in 2013, 2014 and prior to May 31, 2015
Junior T-Ball - for children born in 2011, 2012 and 2013 (experienced players)
All play is co-ed with opportunity to play with friends/relatives in the Stanley Park area of Kitchener. Refer to individual league pages for more information on the specific leagues. Rules and playing guidelines are also available along with tips and articles for players, parents, and the coaching staff.
We operate our program under True Sport and Fair Play Guidelines with a Zero Tolerance for Abuse. We enforce mandatory rotation of all players through all defensive positions and equal playing time for all registered players.
Effective since 2015: Defensive players, when playing infield positions, must wear facial protection. (Each team is being supplied with the necessary safety equipment.) This is now mandatory for Senior T-Ball, Junior 3-Pitch and Senior 3-Pitch but remains optional for our Junior T-Ball league.
All participants - and this includes all spectators as well as parents, players and volunteers - are not only expected to exhibit good sportsmanship but also to promote it. Reminder: All our events are Tobacco Free - we do not allow smoking nor simulated versions thereof.
Our mandate is to ensure that all participants in our program "have fun" - but not at the expense of anyone else.
As we do not "run" the teams, all parents/guardians are expected to pitch-in and help in whatever way they can. Each team needs a full (6 or so people for each game event) coaching/management staff. Your help is appreciated!
New in 2018: The Healthy Kids Program is providing each team with a water jug and $50 food voucher so players can all enjoy healthy snacks after each game. We require a volunteer from each team to accept the role of Snack Coordinator.
