Hot Dog Day

In 2012 this eventwas held on Saturday June 23 at Wilson Park....

 This is the annual wrap-up party for the Blastball, T-Ball and 3-Pitch program.  Usually held the last Saturday in June before school ends for the summer, it includes the championship games, trophy presentations to all participants, refreshments and a variety of activities. Photos are of the 2011 event.

Most activities start by 10:30 AM...opening remarks at 11:00 am. Trophy awards approx. 11:20.
 Activities vary somewhat from year to year but often include face-painting, a "jumping"castle, and a visit from the Kitchener Rangers mascot "Tex."  A light lunch (hot-dogs - usually over 1,400 of them - that's light!) and entertainment by  
ERICK entertained the 2012 event at Wilson Park and the Rangers Street Team joined us again with shooting and hitting challenges.
Tentworks provided some LARGE tents for additional shelter from the elements - this year it was the SUN! - and some chairs for added relaxation.
 All activities (except candy floss) are free for registered players wearing their uniform.  Players (through their coaches) are each given a "food ticket" good for a hot-dog and drink. (*Nominal charge for others, or, donations graciously accepted.)  There is an agenda for each year's event and times vary depending on the finishing times of the games and actual enrolment figures in the various leagues.
TEAM TROPHIES, PHOTOS & RECEIPTS PICKUP by team coaches for their players. This process starts about 11:40 AM with BLASTBALL, followed by JUNIOR T-BALL,  SENIOR T-BALL, and then 3 PITCH teams (usually shortly after noon).
Erick will continue on playing until approx.1:00 PM
